about mentalpictures

This photoblog contains original content by me, Ian Smith, and I assert copyright in all of the photographic images displayed herein. If you want to use one of my images for something, please and ask.

Most pictures were taken with a Canon EOS 10D using various lenses ranging in focal length from 15mm to 300mm. Pictures from film were taken with a Canon EOS 3, and scanned using a Nikon Coolscan IV ED 2900dpi filmscanner.

The site is powered by Movable Type v3.15, and the images are managed using Gallery v1.4.4-pl2. The two are integrated using a custom Movable Type plugin, which I may make available for download at some future time.

Thanks are due to David Nightingale of Chromasia, who will perhaps be alarmed to discover that he unknowingly provided me with the inspiration and motivation to bring this site into being.

Thanks also to Stuart Finch for the hosting, and for putting up with my enthusiastic "promotion" to him of half finished versions of the site (trust me, it's almost finished now).
